"Unmanned Space" releases 6.02 update patch: Optimize the spacecraft construction system
Hello Games has launched a new update patch for "No Man's Space", focusing on fixing dozens of vulnerabilities reported by the community. Since its disastrous debut in 2016, the development team has reinvented the space exploration game into what it originally promised through numerous updates, regaining the support of the player community.
2025 is a busy year for "Unman's Space": the "Beacon" update was launched in June, and the highly anticipated "Voyager" major patch was released in late August. The latter allows players to assemble exclusive spacecraft using hundreds of components in the newly built workshop, which has received enthusiastic response from the community. After the Voyager update was released on August 27, the development team immediately launched the experimental branch testing, and the 6.02 patch launched today mainly fixes vulnerabilities discovered recently.
According to the official game website announcement, this update has been logged on to the Steam platform first, and other platforms will be pushed "as soon as possible". The patch focuses on solving related problems in the construction function of the new spacecraft: it fixes faults such as Thunderbird landing cabin collision detection, frigate components embedded in the space station floor, and also solves interesting loopholes such as NPC suspension and abnormal propulsion of player jet packs. In addition, the game crash caused by autonomous driving and frigate expeditions was fixed.
It is worth noting that "Unman's Sky" set the highest simultaneous online record since 2018 at the end of August, with more than 93,000 players logging in on the Steam platform, which is mainly due to the Voyager Update that has realized the spacecraft construction function that the community has been looking forward to for many years - many players compared it with Bethesda's "Starry Sky". With the game landing on the Switch2 platform, the game has become the fifth-ranked game with new console sales in June, second only to "Triangle Runes", "Switch2 Welcome Journey", "Mario Kart World" and "Minecraft".
