"Super Week" in the game industry: this month, the three giants fight + three masterpieces appear on the same day
Japanese foreign media industry observer @Genki_JPN recently pointed out that this week of September will be the "key window" for the game industry in 2025, from the 10th anniversary event of Kojima Studios, to the opening of TGS 2025 and the global live broadcast of Microsoft and Sony, followed by a series of new works. It can be said that the intensity of the game industry has reached the highest this year.
The first to kick off was the 10th anniversary event of Kojima Studios on September 23, "Beyond the Strand". According to official disclosure, the celebration held at Toho Cinema, Tokyo Roppongi New Town, will be hosted by Hideo Kojima himself. In addition to reviewing the ten-year journey, future project plans will also be revealed. The progress of the mysterious new work "OD" and the film and television linkage project "Physint" has attracted much attention. The event duration is from 13:00 to 15:30 Japan time, and the online live broadcast schedule will be announced later.
Two days later, on September 25, the game industry will open the two most important press conferences in the second half of the year. On the one hand, Tokyo Game Exhibition 2025 (TGS2025) officially opened at Chiba Makuhara Exhibition Hall. The four-day exhibition will be set to be the business day from 25 to 26 and the public open day from 27 to 28. Microsoft has confirmed that it will hold a global live broadcast at 6 pm on the first day of TGS, focusing on displaying new works such as "Ninja Dragon Sword 4" and hardware information such as ROG joint handheld consoles. Although Sony has not officially announced it, industry speculation about the broadcast of State of Play this week continues to heat up.
The same day, welcoming the grand release of "Gods Fight": the horror new work "Silent Hill F", the racing game "Sonic Racing Cross World" and the action pigeon sequel "Haddes 2" will be unlocked simultaneously. Among them, "Hadis 2" will end the Early Access launch, launching version 1.0, supporting cross-platform archives between PC and Switch. The Switch 2 version also realizes the base mode 1080P/120 frame operation; "Sonic Racing Cross World" has previously launched a trial version, and player data can be inherited to the official version; "Silent Hill F" will lead players to explore the foggy nightmare of the hometown of high school students Deep Water Luzi. The three works cover different categories, forming the "annual game feast" that players are looking forward to.
