Entertainment company HYBE IM will release new game Project Torch in Japan and South Korea

HYBE IM, a large Korean entertainment company, has officially announced a cooperation agreement with Bonfire Studios. Bonfire Studios, an Irvine-based studio founded by former Blizzard Entertainment developers, will work together to release an online team-player battle game for PC tentatively titled Project Torch in Japan and South Korea. Bonfire Studios will be responsible for self-publishing the game in the West.

Bonfire Studios has a luxurious lineup, including former Blizzard Entertainment chief creative officer and "World of Warcraft" chief designer Rob Pardo, former Blizzard Entertainment executive art director Nick Carpenter, and Nexon America Former CEO Min Kim and others. The studio was founded in 2016 and has managed to raise around $25 million in funding from Riot Games and venture capital giant Andreessen Horowitz.

Project Torch is a game designed to blend competitive and cooperative elements to give players an unprecedented multiplayer experience. It is not limited to simple battles, but allows players to enjoy richer game content by providing an immersive game environment and strategic cooperation opportunities. However, no further details about the project have been released yet.
