SIE announces the subsequent game lineup of PlayStation VR2: a total of four new games
Sony Interactive Entertainment recently announced the subsequent game lineup of PlayStation VR2. Four new works will be launched on this VR device that has been on sale for 16 months, with a time span from August 2025 to 2026.
The tactical rogue-lite game "Grit and Valor: 1949" will be debuted on August 21; Q-Games Studio's adventure game "Dreams of Another" based on particle effects and the brain-burning puzzle game "Hotel" developed by Studio Chyr Infinity will follow up this year; and "METEORA", which focuses on the concept of "cosmic survival racing", is scheduled to be released in 2026.
This official announcement is Sony's largest content update since the release of PSVR2 in February 2024. Previously, the platform was controversial due to the slow pace of game release. Through the release plan that is scheduled until next year, Sony sends a signal to the market that it will continue to support the device, trying to further expand its virtual reality game library in addition to blockbuster transplant works such as "Resident Evil 4 VR" and "GT Racing 7". At present, the specific price and precise release date of the new work have not been announced.
