Does "Sword Star" D encryption affect performance? Official guarantee: The frame rate is absolutely stable!
Recently, the PC version of "Stellar Blade" has officially started pre-order, with the standard version priced at 268 yuan and the luxury version priced at 358 yuan. However, the game has sparked heated discussions among players due to issues such as regional locks and D encryption, and the developer SHIFT UP responded on social media.
After the release of the PC version's feature trailer, discussions on regional restrictions gradually heated up. The developer confirmed that they are continuing to communicate with publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment, committed to solving lock problems in most areas, and said they will do their best to resolve them as soon as possible.
In the same statement, SHIFT UP responded to players' concerns that D encryption may affect performance. According to internal tests, the implementation of DRM has been optimized to ensure the same average frame rate, and some tests even show an improvement in the minimum frame rate. At the same time, mod support will be "completely unrestricted", indicating that PC players can freely adjust or enhance the gaming experience.
SHIFT UP also emphasized that the association of PlayStation Network accounts is "completely optional, not mandatory", responding to PC players' concerns about forced account integration.
In addition, SHIFT UP guarantees fans that the content of the PC version and PS5 version will be exactly the same, and promises that players who purchase early will not be ignored, and future updates will ensure that the content of each platform is synchronized. This includes new boss battles and new outfits, which will debut in this release.
"Sword Star" will be launched on the PC platform on June 12, 2025. The PC version will have enhanced visual effects, support ultra-wide displays, no frame rate limits, and be compatible with NVIDIA DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3 technologies. In addition, this version will also support DualSense features, multilingual dubbing, etc.
