"Doom Dark Age" is about to be released! But the B-Company employees began to give up their picks

Apr 03 2025

It's only about a month before Doom: Dark Ages is officially released on May 15, but more than 300 Quality Assurance (QA) employees of Bethesda's parent company ZeniMax have voted to pass a strike authorization to ask Microsoft to raise salaries and improve working conditions.

The ZeniMax union organized a small strike in November 2023. This vote was not an immediate strike, but a legal basis for possible future actions. Union members pointed out that there are many problems with the current work environment, including unstable remote work arrangements, forced postponement of personal plans (such as childbirth), and Microsoft outsourcing QA positions without notifying the union.

Microsoft responded that the negotiations had made progress and proposed a salary increase and benefit improvement plan. However, as the game's release date approaches, potential strikes could affect the scheduled release of Doom: Dark Ages.

At present, the development of the situation still needs further observation.
