BUBBLE BOBBLE classic is an Android version of the original Bubble Bobble, originally released in 1986. Although the gameplay and level design are almost identical, some changes were made to this version to make it free to play.
BUBBLE BOBBLE classic has controls that work very well on touchscreen devices. Control your character with your left thumb, and jump and shoot bubbles with your right. Although it's not recommended (especially if you've played a version of Bubble Bobble before) you can enable an automatic mode to make your character shoot bubbles automatically.
One major difference between this game and the original Bubble Bobble is its super mode, which is only available after you've completed the one hundred levels in the normal mode. On top of that, there's a power mode that you can activate during games to make your character shoot bubbles faster and harder.
BUBBLE BOBBLE classic is a great version of this outstanding game. Check it out and enjoy an 80s classic from the comfort of your Android device.
Bubble Bobble Classic is a seminal platform arcade game developed by Taito in 1986. Players control Bub and Bob, two bubble dragons, on a quest to rescue their girlfriends who have been kidnapped by the villain Baron Von Blubba. The core gameplay revolves around trapping enemies in bubbles and then popping those bubbles to defeat them. Bub and Bob can blow bubbles that float upwards, encapsulating enemies within. Once trapped, players can burst the bubbles by jumping on them, colliding with them, or using their dragon breath. Defeated enemies turn into various food items that grant points.
The game spans 100 unique levels, each with its own layout and enemy placement. Levels feature platforms, ladders, and obstacles that players must navigate. Power-ups, hidden within bubbles, provide temporary advantages such as increased speed, longer bubble range, or the ability to shoot rapid-fire bubbles. Different enemy types have unique movement patterns and attack methods, requiring players to strategize their bubble-trapping tactics. Some levels contain secret doors and warps, adding a layer of exploration and hidden content. The game features a cooperative two-player mode, allowing players to team up and strategize together, making the experience more engaging and strategic. Communication and coordination are key to success in the more challenging levels. Completing the game requires not only skillful gameplay but also knowledge of the game's secrets and hidden mechanics. Bubble Bobble Classic's simple yet addictive gameplay, charming characters, and cooperative mode made it a huge success and a cornerstone of the platformer genre.
