The game experience of "The Fall of the Atom" by Shumao She: Like the previous generation!

After the early-stage version of "Fallen Atom" was launched, media comments were polarized. IGN gave the game a high 8-point rating, praising it for cleverly combining the world view of "Fallout" with the gameplay of "Eldon's Ring", and its excellent exploration and survival mechanism design. However, some media commented that the gaming technology performed poorly and the overall experience was "like the games of the previous generation".

Shumao Society Digital Foundry's review analyzed in detail the performance of "Atomic Fall" on the next-generation host and PC platforms, indicating that although the picture level of the work is similar to "Sniper Elite 5", it failed to fully utilize the performance of the next-generation host.

According to the Shumao Society, "The Fall of Atoms" adopts a regional open world design, and requires a loading transition when switching scenes, and seamless connection cannot be achieved. According to technical analysis, the dynamic resolution range of the game on PS5 and Xbox Series X platforms is 1440p-1800p and supports 60 frame mode; while the Xbox Series S version locks 1080p/30 frames, and the operation response and picture fluency are relatively limited. Although the PC version provides more abundant picture quality options, due to engine limitations, there are still technical problems such as insufficient anti-aliasing and reflective flickering.

In terms of screen performance, the game does not use TAA anti-aliasing technology, resulting in obvious flickering on the edges under dynamic scenes. At the same time, the mapping accuracy, shadow details and screen space reflection effects need to be optimized. Even if it runs on the PS5 Pro with stronger performance, its image quality improvement is still limited.
