The world design is more open! Foreign media releases "Borderlands 4" trial experience

　　Foreign media VGC disclosed the trial experience of "Borderlands 4" and discussed and exchanged views with relevant producers.

VGC said that "Borderlands 4" does attach great importance to exploration, and the world has become bigger and is no longer divided into small areas by the loading interface. As players advance from one mission to another, the battles and events in the game are also richer.

The changes in this work have designed the game world more open and exploratory, rather than the background where players hurriedly pass while performing tasks. This is undoubtedly a great improvement. The game still retains a carefully designed experience, such as a dungeon or building interior, but now players are more motivated to explore the world. Chris Brock, executive producer of Borderlands 4, introduced: "When developing Borderlands 3, one of the important goals was to improve gun battles. We feel that we have done a good job. If we apply our previous experience in this area to the exploration of Borderlands 4, it would be a big improvement"

　　Borderlands 4 chief screenwriter Taylor Clark added: "From a narrative perspective, this is both a new beginning and a sequel. This is a new planet that is completely different from Pandora, and the villain is also completely different from what we have seen before. So, it will naturally make people feel fresh, novel and exciting. But it will continue the narrative clues of the ending of Borderlands 3... You can understand the plot even if you have never played the previous work, but the game has designed some content, which not only gives back to the old players of Borderlands 3, but also allows inexperienced novices to get started easily."

VGC believes that Borderlands 4 feels like a sequel to Borderlands 2, rather than further moving towards Borderlands 3, which feels like a reboot for new players in the series.

　　Since 2009, Gearbox's gunfighting games have always maintained their superb skills. After Borderlands 3, almost every other aspect is debatable, especially for fans who have left the series. However, judging from the current performance, Borderlands 4 seems to have a clear understanding of the reasons for the player's loss and is an excellent reason to attract them to return.
