Army Fitness Calculator is an ACFT calculator that allows you to input your scores with a slider bar, increment/decrement buttons, or by typing in your raw values to calculate your event and overall score. The app also produces a full table of scores for your gender and age and a guide to help setup the Hex Bar for the Maximum Dead Lift event.

In addition to calculating the ACFT, the app also has sections to calculate Ht/Wt and BF%, Promotion Points for Semi-Centralized Promotions, and APFT.

Along with the calculators, the app has the doctrinal verbiage for the event instructions; a link to the Army's ACFT page for more information on the implementation, videos, and resources; and a settings page to set the variables that aren't going to change every time you open the app (i.e. age, gender, aerobic event, etc.).

Upgrading to the Premium version allows you to save scores for yourself and your Soldiers, download scores to official DA Forms, and chart progress. The Premium version also removes ads.

Army Fitness Calculator: Comprehensive Overview

Introduction

The Army Fitness Calculator (AFC) is a vital tool used by the United States Army to assess the physical fitness of its soldiers. It is a comprehensive system that evaluates a soldier's performance in three key areas: cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength, and body composition. The AFC provides a standardized method for measuring fitness levels and identifying areas where soldiers need to improve.

Cardiorespiratory Endurance

Cardiorespiratory endurance refers to the ability of the heart and lungs to deliver oxygen to the body during sustained physical activity. The AFC measures cardiorespiratory endurance through a two-mile run. Soldiers must complete the run within a certain time frame based on their age and gender.

Muscular Strength

Muscular strength is the ability of muscles to exert force. The AFC measures muscular strength through three exercises: push-ups, sit-ups, and the standing long jump. Soldiers must perform a certain number of repetitions of each exercise within a specified time frame.

Body Composition

Body composition refers to the ratio of lean muscle mass to fat mass. The AFC measures body composition through the calculation of body mass index (BMI) and body fat percentage. Soldiers must meet certain BMI and body fat percentage standards based on their age and gender.

Scoring

The AFC uses a scoring system to evaluate soldiers' performance in each of the three fitness areas. Points are awarded based on the time it takes to complete the two-mile run, the number of repetitions performed in the push-ups, sit-ups, and standing long jump, and the BMI and body fat percentage.

Soldiers are categorized into one of four fitness categories based on their overall AFC score:

* Excellent

* Good
