Reveal the core settings! "Time Traveler" second developer log revealed
Bloober Team recently released the second developer log of "Time Traveler: Rebirth Dawn", deeply revealing the core settings of this time-travel-themed survival horror game. With the September 5 release date approaching, Polish developers disclosed for the first time the catastrophic event "great changes" that occurred in the 1980s in the game through a six-minute video - screenwriter director Grzegorz Like described it as a "strange disease", a disaster that completely reshapes the game world.
Players will play the role of the space-time envoy "traveler" of the mysterious organization "collective". The core mission is not a rescue operation in the traditional sense, but extracting the "essence" of a specific target person through time travel. Producer Klaudia Sewera explained: "This is essentially seizing the soul of human beings." It is worth noting that the selection of extracted objects in the game will directly affect the gameplay and narrative direction - different choices will not only unlock exclusive skill bonuses, but will also completely change the way players understand the story. Like emphasizes that this "will bring completely different game experiences."
The log also revealed the key NPC "guardian" that appeared in the previous trailer. This character responsible for equipment maintenance and task scheduling is only the tip of the iceberg of the huge character's relationship. The development team said that this game will continue the "interpersonal narrative" that Bloober Team has always been good at through a large number of interrelated characters. The protagonist of the game will explore the truth simultaneously with the players, gradually uncovering the mysteries of the "collective" organization and the paradox of time.
As the first project to be released in October 2024, "Time Traveler: Dawn of Rebirth" has previously released information on enemy design, combat systems and other information. This work that combines Cthulhu horror with the paradox of time may become another narrative breakthrough work by Bloober Team after "Layers of Fear".
