"Metal Equipment 3 Remake Edition" poor optimization: PS5 Pro is difficult to stabilize 60FPS!

Aug 23 2025

"Metal Equipment 3: Remake" will be officially released on August 28, but according to the actual test results of DigitalFoundry, the game has obvious frame rate instability problems on PS5 and PS5 Pro, and it is difficult to maintain 60FPS continuously. In complex scenarios such as fierce battles, the frame rate can even drop to 40 or 30FPS.

In the performance mode of PS5, the game has problems of visual artifacts and blurred details; and although the picture quality mode is stably locked at 30FPS, the picture effect is relatively stable and the picture quality is more refined. However, on the PS5 Pro, although the overall picture has been improved, the resolution has decreased due to the reliance on PSSR technology, resulting in a common "fuzzy feeling", and its optimization performance is even worse than that of PS5.

DigitalFoundry also mentioned that when they tried out the Xbox Series X version at the Cologne Game Show, they found similar frame rate fluctuations. Although this game has received positive reviews in terms of graphics and systems, the optimization issues on the next-generation console still make many players worry.
