"Hell is Us"'s main creator talks about crashing "Silk Song": Objective Conditions and Limitations
"The Hollow Knight: The Song of Silk" was officially released on September 4 and is highly anticipated by players. Previously, many games have chosen to actively postpone this period, but the soul-like ARPG "Hell Is Us" still insisted on being launched on the same day. The game creator recently responded that although he subjectively hopes to adjust the schedule, it has not been achieved due to objective conditions.
Jonathan Jacques-Belletête, creative director of "Hell Is Us", said that the development team has long noticed the schedule conflict with "The Hollow Knight: The Song of Silk" and has discussed the possibility of postponement. However, due to a series of complex issues and other key factors such as refunds to pre-order players, it was finally decided to maintain the original release plan.
Although Jacques-Belletête did not disclose specific sales data, he admitted that the release performance of this game was indeed affected by competitors during the same period.
Hell is Us, led by Jonathan Jacques-Belletête, who served as the creative director of "Split of Humanity", is a third-person action adventure game. The work combines elements of intense hand-to-hand combat and exploration, and players will take risks in a semi-open world, dealing with mysterious creatures and gradually uncovering plot puzzles.
