Foreign media: FS's new work is not like "The Souls of Darkness" and more like "The King of the Night"

Recently, according to foreign media gamesradar, the exclusive game "The Duskbloods" created by FromSoftware for Nintendo Switch 2 will abandon the "Dark Souls"-style character customization system and instead use a preset character mechanism similar to "Eldon's Ring of the Ring of the Night".

Hidetaka Miyazaki revealed in his latest developer blog that this PvPvE game will provide "more than ten preset characters with their own characteristics and appearance" for players to choose from, including Rocket Backpack Warriors who debuted in the trailer.

"The design and weapon configuration of each character are very distinctive, and I believe players can find their favorite choice." Miyazaki Hideto said, "Although it is impossible to completely reshape the appearance of the character like "Dark Souls", players can adjust the character's abilities, appearance, and inner qualities through the 'blood customization' system, and even change their world view positioning and interpersonal relationships."

This character positioning system is the biggest innovation of this game. In the 8-player PvPvE melee, each player will randomly obtain special identities such as "Fateful Enemy" or "Destined Companion" - the former needs to chase the designated opponent in the map, while the latter needs to find an alliance object. Miyazaki emphasized: "The drama of the characters given through bloodline customization can make every battle full of narrative tension."

In response to players' doubts about multiplayer gameplay, the legendary producer who also serves as the director of "Dark Souls", "Bloodborn" and "Elden's Ring" promised: "Even after "The Duskbloods", we will continue to develop game works with single-player experience as the core."
