Hideo Kojima talks about "Dead Shelf 2" still not perfect and will continue to make breakthroughs in the next project
Kojima Studio's new work "Death Stranding 2" has been officially released for several months. This work not only achieves a comprehensive upgrade in visual performance, but also introduces more rich and interesting gameplay mechanisms, further expanding the narrative boundaries with "connection" as the core theme.
According to foreign media tech4gamers, Hideo Kojima recently accepted an exclusive interview with Rolling Stone magazine, talking about his pursuit of realistic expression in the series. He said: "I have always hoped that the game can present a natural and realistic effect. In the first generation, we have tried our best to work in this direction."
However, due to the technical conditions at that time, this goal was not fully achieved, although the final result was excellent. In the sequel development, Hideo Kojima is finally closer to realizing his ideal. To create Death Stranding 2, the team invested a lot of time to build an artificial intelligence machine learning system and conducted high-precision scans of digital facial models. However, Hideo Kojima also admitted that even in his second attempt, he still failed to fully meet the standards he thought. "Looking back, Death Stranding 2 can only be considered qualified. But in the next project, I am determined to achieve a higher level of realism."
