Content adjustment has not stopped selling hot! "Stay on the Battle" console version sold over 2 million

Tactical shooter "Holding on the Front" sold over 2 million copies two weeks after it was launched on the PS5/Xbox Series platform, which made the developer Void Interactive excited. Although this game caused strong dissatisfaction among core players due to the content review of the console version, the market performance is still strong - it only took 4 days for the console version to reach millions of sales, which is equivalent to ten times the sales of the PC version during the same period.

Void Interactive CEO Julio Rodriguez confirmed this milestone on LinkedIn, calling it a "model work of contemporary tactical FPS." However, Steam's recent reviews have been polarized: although the historical praise rate remains at 77%, the praise rate has dropped sharply to 27% in the past 30 days, reflecting the strong resistance of PC players to the deletion of controversial content such as blood, nudity and child abuse. It is worth noting that the game's media ratings on OpenCritic remain positive.

According to the developer's statement at the end of June, the content adjustment is done according to the requirements of the host platform. Although the official claims that "the changes are almost impossible to detect", the player community generally believes that this weakens the game's original hardcore realistic style. Although the negative review bombing caused by this censorship storm did not significantly affect sales, it left a reputation hazard for this work that focuses on real anti-terrorism experience.
