GTA6 Publisher CEO: AI can only be reproduced, but "innovation" is made out of nothing
In recent years, the application of AI technology in the gaming industry has gradually increased, but Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick believes that AI is difficult to threaten the creation of top works in the gaming industry.
Zelnick emphasized that the key to industry success lies in supporting the originality of excellent creators: "If you want to be the best creative, you must hire the best creators and encourage them to follow their passions. Support them to constantly try new things and avoid plagiarism and imitation." He criticized the common routine creation model in the entertainment industry, pointing out that Take-Two pursues "things you have never seen before."
In his opinion, generative AI can only reorganize content based on existing data and lacks real innovation: "AI is a look back on the past, while popular games must face the future." This view is also seen as a hint of the innovation direction of "GTA 6".
Industry insiders generally agree that AI can be used as an auxiliary tool, but real industry breakthroughs still need to rely on human creativity to drive.
