"Silent Hill F" sound effect design: Use music to let players feel the pain of the protagonist!
The new work of the "Silent Hill" series, "Silent Hill F", was officially announced, and the game is set in Japan for the first time. Recently, sound effects designer Kensuke Inama shared his experience in participating in the game.
Kensuke Tomao said that he first came into contact with the "Silent Hill" series about 20 years ago, and it was honored that he was able to create music for this classic series. When creating sound effects for the game, he blended ancient Japanese court music with ambient echoes. Through various sound effects techniques, the pain, inner conflict, fear and other emotions between the player and the protagonist are closely linked.
The protagonist of this work is a high school student living in a small Japanese rural town surrounded by mountains, Rong Zhiqiu. Her daily life suddenly collapsed due to the emergence of the mysterious white "monster". While exploring, fighting and solving puzzles in a familiar town that has become unrecognizable, she ushered in her "end".
