The classic FPS "No Man's Immortal" developed by Monolith Productions was a phenomenal work in 2000. Players play the role of agent Cate Archer to perform secret missions. With their excellent settings and rich gameplay, they are praised as "the top FPS second only to "Half-Life".

However, its PS2 transplant version suffered a Waterloo - although it took 9 months to overcome technical difficulties, the popularity of the market still plummeted after it was launched, and players received bad reviews!

Recently, Matthew Allen, who participated in the original development, publicly admitted that the core reason for the failed transplant: PS2 hardware performance is difficult to carry high-performance PC version games, and forcibly transplanted is destined to be difficult to have good results. This incident has become a typical case in the history of gaming, highlighting the importance of hardware adaptation during cross-platform migration.
